JAX Diversity Council
The JAX Diversity Council, supported by the Office of Inclusion & Belonging, is comprised of employees in various positions and representing departments across all JAX locations. Membership is by application and is updated annually. Council goals are:
Advising Leadership: The JAX Diversity Council advises the JAX President/CEO and senior leadership on issues of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at JAX, identifying barriers that inhibit the full inclusion and advancement of persons from underrepresented and/or underserved populations.
Community Listening: We provide venues for the JAX community to voice their opinions and insight on inclusion matters at JAX, creating opportunities for two-way communication via the Council members and the greater JAX community.
Community Engagement: The JAX Diversity Council works closely with the JAX Inclusion & Belonging team on developing a more engaged and inclusive JAX community.
All JAX locations have local Diversity Committees that report into the JAX Diversity Council. These local committees assist the Council in building inclusion and engagement at the campus level. Remote employees have the option to develop a committee for remote employees or join a campus committee.
