Once submitted, obtaining (potential) founders of a genetically engineered mouse model (from GET) takes on the order of a calendar quarter.
Breeding through the germline and expansion can extend to the end of Year 1.
Additional (project-specific) genetic crosses can be conducted at the rate of around three generations/year.
Additional time (months) may be necessary for tumors to develop.
Projects ideas can be brought to us year-round and will generally be accepted until capacity is committed for that FY.
