Biostatistics, bioinformatics, and statistical methods development in the basic biology of aging.
Dr. Luciano applies biostatistics, bioinformatics, and statistical methods development to address the competing, correlated, and repeating nature of biological outcomes in aging research. One example is the application of latent growth modeling to identify phenotypic outcome trajectory subgroups where biological data do not center on a single mean trend. Prior to joining The Jackson Laboratory in 2021, Luciano completed doctoral and postdoctoral training at Dartmouth and was a Biostatistician for six years in clinical geroscience at the Duke University School of Medicine. She is a member of The Jackson Laboratory Nathan Shock Center of Excellence in the Basic Biology of Aging (JAX NSC) Data and Statistical Core.
