People are terrified. You mention the word cancer, they immediately are scared to death.

It doesn't have to be that way anymore.

And to me, I'm not a doctor and I'm not into science, as I've said several times. But if you feel something's wrong, go find out. If it is bad news, at least you'll catch it early, and you got some help there to do it.

The new things they've come out with, and the way they could treat things now – even if it isn’t cancer, if it's something else say, diabetes or something – there's so much there to help.

But it's not going to help you sitting at home on the couch.

Get out there.

Go find out.

Over the past 20 years, the overall cancer rate in Maine has been decreasing.
